Richard Leonard Lang (Langowski) age 76 of Ravenna, died, Friday, September 18, 2015 at Mercy General Health Partners-Mercy. Richard was born on September 25, 1938 in Muskegon Heights, MI to the late Adam and Eleanor (Lancaster) Langowski. He married Mildred Lois (Rainbolt) Lang on November 7, 1959 in Muskegon, MI. He attended Sullivan Community Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed passing his hunting and trapping traditions on to his family. He was a local boxer in the 1950’s and boxed for the U.S. Army. He was often published in the Muskegon Chronicle Section “As the reader sees it”. He was active in his local union. He valued family above all else was well respected and will be greatly missed. Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years: Mildred L. Lang of Ravenna, 2 Sons: Richard (Shannon) Lang and Robert (Susan) Lang. 2 Daughters: Juanitta (Josh) Munger and Maria (Steve) VanHoeven. 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters. 15 Grandchildren: Travis (Joanne) Lang, Kent VanHoeven, Richard Hunter Lang, Quinault Munger, Adam VanHoeven, Zael Munger, Isaac VanHoeven, Zaya Lang Moore, Samantha Lang, Olivia Lang, Emilia Lang, Anastasia Lang, Vanessa Greenert, Avalon Munger and Tayen Munger. 7 Great Grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter: Sarah (Doodle) Lang. A Graveside Memorial service will be conducted on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Sullivan Township Cemetery at 11:00am with Pastor John Romanosky officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family.
