Obituary

Sandra Mardell Kosheba of Ravenna died Monday, April 29th Edison Christian Home in Grand Rapids, MI surrounded by her loving family. Sandra was born on September 18, 1934 in Fremont, MI to the late Ormal and Gladys (Miller) Campbell. She married John Junior Kosheba on October 27, 1956 in Fremont, Mi. Sandra worked at National Fruit for several years, and then at the Casnovia Township Hall until retirement. She loved working the elections and connecting with friends, neighbors and her coworkers. Her passions were family, especially her grandchildren, friends and quilting. Sandra's family were the recipients of her spectacular work. A quilt from Grandma was a warm hug on a cold night. She loved her friends and the beauty of lifelong friendships ... plus the fun in making new ones. Her favorite activity was the coffee group at the Hill Top Bakery every Thursday morning and a occasional lunch with friends. She had a quick mind and awesome memory and was always ready with stories and details. Her dry sense of humor always gave us pause and much laughter. Sandra is survived by: 3 Daughters: Julie (Rodger) Schultz of Fruitport, Jayne (Bill) Rauch of Portage and Kathleen Heemstra of Grand Rapids, 3 Grandchildren: Gerrit (Lindsey) Rauch, Julia Rauch, and Evan Heemstra, also several nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her Parents, Husband John (November 13, 2012), 3 Brothers: Rod Campbell, Jim Campbell and Bob Campbell, 2 Sisters: Joyce Deurloo and Jean Cook. Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Mass conducted Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. Catherines Catholic Church at 10:30am with Father Fred Brucker Celebrant.
