Joseph Stanley Kosheba age 87, of Ravenna, MI died Monday, October 17, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on July 13, 1929 to the late Frank and Victoria (Garvon) Kosheba. He served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He married Vivian V. (Brown) Kosheba on January 3, 1953 at St. Joseph of Wright. Joe is survived by his wife of 63 years Vivian V. Kosheba of Ravenna. 1 Son: Michael (Robin) Kosheba of Ravenna, 4 Daughters: Vicki (David) Benedetti of Grand Rapids, JoAnn Sischo of Rockford, Barb (Tom) Eisen of Ypsilanti and Marianne (Dave) Ezinga of Allendale. 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Rose Burgess of Dansville. 1 Brother: Richard (Rita) Kosheba of Grand Haven. 3 Half Brothers: Tom Kosheba, Tony (Joanne) Kosheba both of Grant and Steve (Corella) Kosheba of Casnovia. 2 Half Sisters: Mary Smith of Newaygo, Stella Dulinski of Muskegon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers: John, Frank and Walter. 1 Sister: Frances Zarimba and 1 Half Brother: Eugene Kosheba. Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be prayed on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00am at the St. Catherines Catholic Church in Ravenna with Father Fred Brucker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm with Rosary at 8:00pm. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to service.
