So very sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful lady. I have known her for 49 years and she is one of the nicest, kindest, loving, giving people I have ever met. May she rest in Peace

I was so sorry to read about Jessie’s death. She was the person I looked up to most as a new teacher in 1976 and throughout my 35 years teaching in Ravenna. Whenever I was unsure of my teaching she was always there to give advice and assurance. Jessie was a true mentor and friend, and I will miss her very much. My deepest sympathies to the family, Colleen, Maureen, and kids. Your mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother was truly a wonderful woman. My prayers are with you as you mourn her loss.

Dave and I extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family of Jessie. She will be greatly missed. I worked with Jessie at school and she always had time to answer my questions, offer advice and guidance. In later years, I was able to get to know Jessie on a more personal level when she joined our Ravenna Literary Guild. I so enjoyed our conversations and will always remember her happy contagious laugh. Rest in peace, Jessie.

Ruth Tobin

Collen, Maureen and your families, So sorry to hear of Jessie's passing. she was truly a remarkable woman. From 1st grade on I spent a lot of time at the Russell's, as Greg and I were great friends. She was always smiling and laughing, even though life wasn't always easy. I watched as our school secretary put herself through college while working full time and raising 3 kids on her own. Jessie and the kids went from living in an old small trailer to a new modular home, and in later years a very nice ranch home in Ravenna. Reading the posts of others, she obviously was a wonderful teacher as well, and touched many lives in positive ways. I'm so blessed to have known her, and confident that she is laughing and smiling again with her boys. Keeping all of you in our prayers.
