Wayne Allen Traxler age 81, of Ravenna, MI died Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Poppen Hospice Residence surrounded by his daughters. Wayne was born on April 19, 1940 in Muskegon, MI to the late George and Ellen (Johnson) Traxler. He married Arloa Beth (Caywood) Traxler on July 30, 1960 in Muskegon, MI. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2000. Wayne worked in the grocery business his entire life. Working and traveling for A&P, managing Barnes Grocery Store, and retiring from Viking/Roundy's Warehouse. Throughout his life he mentored with a good work ethic, patience, and caring for those around him. Every family holiday, special occasion, or random visit was a safe place with warm food on the table and family talks to catch up with one another. He enjoyed playing cards, basketball, baseball, bowling, and watching football or Nascar with his family. He loved watching and supporting his grandkids in their sporting events, also sharing his stories, knowledge and love of fishing. He enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife that would make their way to his backyard. We are comforted in knowing that he is now reunited with the love of his life after 21 years.
